Approaching festivities

To receive a book before December 25th, it is necessary to formalize the order at least 2 weeks in advance and notify the bookshop that delivery must take place before Christmas. The bookshop usually closes in August: orders placed during this period are processed as quickly as possible upon return.

Export license

Some of our books (printed 70 years or more before purchase) require an export licence to leave the country: the timing of the release of free circulation licenses is quite long, and it can take up to a month and a half to obtain the licence. Contact us for more information.

Notes Estratto del Quaderno XX della rivista «Botteghe Oscure» dell’autunno 1957 con la prima apparizione del romanzo «La speculazione edilizia» di Calvino. Estremamente raro - con due soli esemplari censiti in Opac, uno presso la Biblioteca della Fondazione Gramsci Emilia-Romagna di Bologna e l’altro presso la Biblioteca della Fondazione Benedetto Croce di Napoli - il volumetto conserva il racconto lungo concepito dallo scrittore alla metà degli anni Cinquanta come denuncia della nuova Italia della cementificazione e del mal affare. Ambientata in Liguria con protagonista un intellettuale, Quinto Anfossi, che ha ormai smarrito la propria vocazione morale e civile, la storia troverà successivamente collocazione nel 1963 all’interno del numero 189 della collana Einaudi «I Coralli».

Condition Carte brunite e leggero distacco al piede del dorso per il resto esemplare ben conservato pregiato da dedica autografa dell’autore datata 7 novembre 1957.

Physical description in 8°, brossura avorio con titoli neri al piatto; carte fermate con due punti metallici, pp. 80, numerate da 438 a 517 [1].
