Libreria Antiquaria Pontremoli was founded in 1988 by Lucia Di Maio and Giovanni M. Milani.

From the beginning, attention was paid to first editions, from the Enlightenment to the whole of the twentieth century, with particular interest fo literary and artistic works.
In addition to rare books, Libreria Antiquaria Pontremoli has a vast selection of periodicals (avant-garde, literature, politics, satire), and a large archive of autographs, manuscripts and original drawings.

Among the published catalogues, in addition to the numbered series, we would highlight:

· ‘Giovanni Pascoli

· ‘Giacomo Leopardi

· ‘Futurismo: collezione Mughini

· ‘Crimini firmati (Collezione Pieraccini - vol. 1)

· ‘Lettere firmate (Collezione Pieraccini - vol. 2)

· ‘Libreria Antiquaria Pontremoli 30 anni’

Some catalogues that made our history:

‘Futurismo’ (2008), ‘Futurismo 2’ (2009), ‘Futurismo: ephemera e autografi’ (2010), based largely on the largest private collection of paper futurism ever to appear in sales catalogs. A similar argument can be made for ‘Vincenzo Monti: collezione Leone Vicchi’ for the private collection  ‘Giornali e riviste del Risorgimento’ and for ‘Sergio Pautasso's library’, 3.000 titles of Italian Novecento.

Two exhibitions dating back to 2013:
‘Dieci piccoli Saba’ and ‘Trieste · Milano: fragments of a regained archive’ documenting precious historical-literary autograph material relating to the protagonists of the twentieth century literary Trieste (Svevo, Saba, Giotti, Slataper, Stuparich, Pittoni).

In 2018 the exhibition centred around the Milanese poet Alda Merini “Letto divino. Alda Merini mai vista: foto, manoscritti e libri“ comprised a very rich selection of books, photographs and manuscripts, many of which unpublished or dedicated to Libreria Antiquaria Pontremoli.
